When did you start watching The Office?
What is your favorite episode and why?
My favorite episode is definitely the finale. It was an emotional roller coaster and they ended it absolutely perfectly. Seeing Michael was awesome. I wasn't sure if they were going to give it a happy ending or not, and I really liked how everyone seemed to be happy. Even Creed seemed to be content with being arrested. Well, everyone seemed happy but Toby, and that's just really beautifully poetic.
Who is your favorite character and why?
I'd have to say I have two favorite characters: Creed and Toby. I love how absurdly eccentric and hilarious Creed is. I also love how that Creed Bratton, the actor's life was so eventful that they ended up using a lot of his actual life for The Office. Firstly, I loved the relationship between Michael and Toby. Secondly, I really loved how awkward and pathetic Toby became, especially in Season Nine. His relationship with Nellie was so unbearably awkward and I just loved every second of it.
Do you have a favorite moment for The Office?
I probably have two favorite moments from The Office. I think my favorite funny moment was when Dwight causes the domino effect of vomiting with his hard-boiled eggs, and while everyone is vomiting, Creed is just watching in the back, eating noodles. Another moment I love was in the finale during the panel when Erin's parents came. That was just a really beautiful and happy moment.
What's it like being an admin for The Office-isms?
Being a co-admin is great! Sometimes when I go a long time without watching The Office, I forget how great it is. Then, when I look up different quotes, it's a great reminder of how awesome a show it is.
How has The Office changed your life?
I'm a fairly philosophical person, which is a reason why I love the show; The Office is sort of one big existential crisis. I always said to myself, that I could never get a nine-to-five job, because as poetic as a boring life with a humdrum job is, I couldn't tolerate it. Then it sort if dawned on me. You don't need to live a big, eventful life to enjoy life. Oddly enough, it was Creed who kind of summed it up at to end of the finale when he said how human being have a way of making any place home. Looking back, sure, they had somewhat boring jobs, but they still enjoyed their lives. The Office totally changed my perspective. When a show can challenge your beliefs for the better, that is an amazing thing; that's never happened to me before and I'm doubtful it will happen ever again. Aside from philosophically, I make references about the show constantly. Believe it or not, I'm eating a bagel in the shape of a 'C' as I'm writing this.
Do you have any great memories associated with The Office?
My friends and I have spent a lot of time being obsessed with The Office. I snuck it into school projects and we put the D.W.I.G.H.T. poster up in our lockers. I hosted a finale party which was a lot of fun. We played The Office board game and just had a really great (and emotional) time.
